Adwords Introduces New Report “Click Type”
According to the Official Adwords Insider blog Google has introduced a new report that allows you to see how visitors are interacting with your ads. Over the last few years Adwords ads have evolved to include additional links including “product extensions”, “site-links” and phone numbers. These enhancements have given advertisers an opportunity to create deeper links into more relevant pages within their site as well as offer users the ability to directly dial-in if they prefer to contact the business via phone.

Until now, the impact of these types of links has been somewhat of a mystery to advertisers. Common sense will tell you that additional links with deeper linking targets should enhance the overall user experience and therefore improve your ads but this benefit was never subject to quantitative analysis until now.
By introducing the new “Click Type” report, Google will afford advertisers the ability to see their click and impression breakdown based on the aforementioned click types. Accessing the report is simple, while on the “Campaigns Tab” click on the “Segment” drop-down and select “Click type”.
